Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joe Milton III fired his team to victory in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Friday, helping them beat the Clemson Tigers 31-14 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
The QB’s unreal arm was on display as he completed 19 of 28 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns, with his first a 16-yard pass to wide receiver Blu McCoy.
Milton’s best play of the night came in the form of an incredible 60-yard pass that brought Squirrel White just short of the Clemson end zone. The pass had some impressive height, as well as the aforementioned yardage, yet Milton appeared to put very little effort into the throw.
Twitter was unsurprisingly in awe. You could see some of the reactions right below:

The victorious Volunteers are closing 2022 out as their best year since they won the Citrus Bowl and finished fourth in the AP Poll with an 11-2 record way back in 2001. They’re poised for another top 5 ranking in this season’s poll, having also gone 11-2 this time around.
They will open next season on September 2 with a game against the Virginia Cavaliers.
Milton, meanwhile, has one year of eligibility left.
