It looks like we might have another Plaxico Burress situation on our hands.
Over the weekend, Tennessee defensive back Brandon Davis suffered a gunshot to his leg and was transported to a local hospital in the area, according to Knox News.
Davis was at Uptown Bar & Grill with fellow defensive back Trevon Flowers.
“[Davis] heard a gunshot and felt pain in his leg and that he “had no idea who shot him or why.” Davis’ teammate, sophomore defensive back Trevon Flowers, told the officer he was inside the bar with Davis when the shooting occurred but that he also didn’t know who shot Davis.”
Knox news then reported that police searched the bar and were unable to find shell casings, blood or anybody that heard the gunshot go off. The report went on to state that multiple people think Davis was the one who shot himself.
“Officers searched the bar and did not find any shell casings or blood, and were unable to locate anyone inside the bar that heard any gunshots or who saw Davis and Flowers in the bar before the shooting. An officer overheard several people say that Davis shot himself in the leg, according to the incident report.”
Davis was rated as a three-star cornerback out of John Curtis High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
