This is not what you want to see at the end of a football game.
With less than a minute remaining in the “Manning Bowl” between Tennessee and Ole Miss, a controversial spot resulted in a turnover on downs for Peyton’s Volunteers, all but sealing the game foe Eli’s Rebels. The spot was short of the line to gain, and with no definitive evidence to overturn the call, there was nothing that Tennessee of their fans could do to erase that 31-26 deficit…
So they trashed the field!
It was not a good look for the Volunteers fans. One of them even hit Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin with a golf ball.
But perhaps the ugliest scene was witnessing the Tennessee cheerleaders duck for cover and run for their lives as the debris rained down on them:
