After a 7-6 record posted in 2018 that was complete with a Cheez-it Bowl victory over the Golden Bears, it was time to usher in a new era for the TCU Horned Frogs.
The Horned Frogs not only want to play good on the field, but look good as well. On Wednesday, the program released an epic hype video that unveiled their new uniforms for the 2019 season.
Via 247Sports:
TCU appears to have incorporated sublimated ‘Frog Skin’ graphics across the collar of its new jersey options, a nice touch which mimics a Horned Frog’s spiked-body used in protection against other reptilian predators.
According to several videos released on social media, TCU new uniform options features three different jerseys — black, white, purple — along with black and white pants. There’s black, purple and white helmet choices, each with a contrasting stripe down the center and two-color facemasks that complete the look.

Even though the uniforms have nothing to do with the movie, “Black Panther,” people on social media started to make a connection because of the collar area of the new uniforms.
