The TCU Horned Frogs have been on quite the ride, having shocked everyone by making it all the way to the National Title game.
But they are likely sweating on the fitness of one of their players as Kendre Miller considers himself 50/50 for the big game.
The edge rusher is nursing a sprained MCL in his right knee that he says is “half-healed.”
“Tomorrow definitely is going to be pretty much the deciding factor if I can go or not, but I’m going to definitely try,” Miller told Espn, per Pete Thamel. “It’s kind of like a 50-50, but I’ll most definitely suit up either way and try.”
Miller has scored in all 13 of TCU’s games this season, with 17 touchdowns in total. He is TCU’s leading rusher with 1,399 yards and went for 57 against the Michigan Wolverines before getting hurt last week.
The Horned Frogs are going into Monday’s contest as the underdogs, so losing players to injury is obviously not ideal. But they also don’t need Miller at 100 percent to have a great overall game, considering the fact that running back Emari Demercado came in to show out against Michigan last week with 150 yards and 8.8 yards per carry.
