While Tua Tagovailoa is busy having himself a season with the Miami Dolphins, his younger brother Taulia is doing the same at the college football level as the quarterback of the Maryland Terrapins.
Taulia and the Terps entered today’s Big Ten matchup against Ohio State with a perfect 5-0 record. And they were keeping things close against the no. 4 ranked Buckeyes…
In fact, they actually had an opportunity to go into the half with a lead, but a poor decision by Taulia and the Maryland coaching staff prevented that from happening.
With the game tied, 10-10, and only 12 seconds remaining in the half, Tagovailoa and the Terps were set up deep in Ohio State territory. They should have come up with at least three points, but that didn’t happen after Tagovailoa hit his wide receiver over the middle for a short gain with no timeouts left.
Needless to say, that decision would prove costly, as it partially contributed to a gigantic swing in momentum in the second half.
Maryland did come out and score the first touchdown after the break, but Ohio State answered with 27 straight points to take the 37-17 victory.

Social media had plenty to say about the questionable decision from Taulia and the Terps’ coaching staff.
It wasn’t Taulia’s best performance of the season. In addition to the poor clock management, he completed just 21 of his 41 pass attempts for 196 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. This comes just one week after he threw for 352 yards and five touchdowns against Indiana.
