The North Carolina Tar Heels made headlines with the hire of its newest head coach. Hubert Davis will be the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s first African American men’s basketball coach.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Davis talked about his plans for the program as well as hm being proud to have a White wife.
Hubert is following a Hall of Famer in Roy Williams. And he’s now leading a program that has six NCAA championships and ranks among college basketball’s all-time wins leaders.
