When you’re as highly-touted as high school phenom Arch Manning, you can pretty much pick whichever college you want to attend when the time comes.
The Isidore Newman High School star is facing that scenario as we speak. He has some of college football’s biggest, most successful programs battling for his commitment. The choice is his as to which one he wants to play quarterback for. You’d think he would opt for a top SEC school like Alabama or Georgia — both of whom are believed to be high on his list.
And then there’s Ole Miss, where his Uncle Eli starred for four years.
So which of those three programs are currently the front-runners for his services? None, apparently.
According to the updated odds from On3Recruiting, it’s the Texas Longhorns who are the most likely to land Arch at 39.6 percent. They’re followed by Alabama at 33.1, and Georgia at 18.5 percent.
After that it’s Ole Miss at a very unlikely 4.3 percent, followed by Clemson and Oklahoma each at 1.3.

Perhaps the most disappointed by these numbers should be Georgia, who may have figured they’d be in a better position to land Arch after reports indicated that the young Manning’s visit to Athens went well last weekend.
Of course, this is just one site’s prediction. Sometimes these things change in the blink of an eye. Heck, after what we saw unfold during the final days of the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes, it’s hard to count out anything in the football world these days.
