A surprising NCAA athlete has been named as the player who’s most likely to land on the cover of EA’s upcoming college football video game.
According to a reputable X account, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is a top candidate to be displayed on the cover of the inbound title, with the aforementioned publisher set to release a CFB game in the summer of 2024.
The Blue Bloods Bias account reckons that Shedeur should be picked as he is the highest-paid college athlete, as well as the most popular returning player in college football.
“Shedeur Sanders may be the cover athlete for the new College Football video game,” a post reads. “EA Sports, the makers of Madden, are on track to release a CFB game this summer. This will be the first time that a video game is made for the sport since 2014.
“The cover athlete represents a top returning player from the previous season, & it’s believed that Shedeur will be picked. He is currently the highest paid college football player, best returning QB, and (the) most well known returning player in the sport. The Colorado Buffaloes’ QB will be the face of College Football next season.”
Sanders is currently valued at $4 million on the NIL scale and, should he make the cover of the next college football game, could earn a few more lucrative deals, especially if the launch proves to be a hit.
The QB had a difficult first season in Boulder. Though his passing ability was on show, he was quite limited in what he could do as his offensive line offered him very little protection. His father, Deion Sanders, who coaches the team, is doing his best to get the best players to put in front of him in 2024.
