Famous NBA Analyst Stephen A Smith has expressed his thoughts on the recent victory of the UConn Huskies. After securing their sixth championship, he labeled them the “Michael Jordans” of college basketball.
Stephen A Smith expressed his views on ESPN’s “First Take,” which he has been hosting for a while now. NFL legend Shannon Sharpe accompanied him as a panelist, sharing his views on the Huskies’ recent achievement. The video of Smith’s segment has been clipped and is going viral on social media.
In the clip, Smith can be seen amazed by UConn’s victory as he praises them. “They are the Michael Jordan of college basketball. Why? Because of their six national titles in 1999, 2004, 2011, 2014, and obviously back-to-back this year. They are 6-0 in national championship games, and that would make them the Michael Jordan of college basketball,” said Smith, complimenting the UConn Huskies’ recent win.
He listed the UConn Huskies’ six national championship victories and compared them to Michael Jordan. MJ won six championships in his career without ever losing in an NBA finals, and Smith cleverly referenced his Airness record in the UConn Huskies’ recent achievement.
