Eight months after boyfriend, Oregon Ducks football player Spencer Webb, died from an accidental fall, Instagram model Kelly Kay gave birth to the couple’s first child.
Last July, Spencer was found dead about 100 yards down a steep hill near Triangle Lake in Oregon. According to the Lane County Sherriff’s Office, the 22-year-old was “recreating in the area” and “fell and struck his head.”
The accident happened weeks before the NFL prospect was set to begin his junior campaign with the Ducks.
This week, Webb’s older brother Cody and the rest of the family issued a statement to The Sacramento Bee wanting to make sure that their loved one was actually the biological father of Kelly’s child.
“Our family has doubts and concerns regarding the paternity of this child for a multitude of reasons,” the statement read. “Until this point, we’ve remained silent in hopes that a DNA test would confirm Spencer as the father. Unfortunately, Kelly has been unwilling to compromise regarding the manner in which the DNA test is collected. Due to the inability to agree on a suitable DNA collection process, we wanted to put together a statement and timeline to help provide the family’s perspective on these circumstances.”
The family statement said Kay, “initially reached out to Spencer on June 28, 2022, via a direct message on social media, 16 days before he passed. Kelly flew into Oregon on the night of July 7th, 2022 to meet Spencer for the first time, 6 days before he passed. We are providing a timeline of Spencer’s last month and the following months to help provide some clarity.”

The Webb family said as soon as Spencer Webb died, “Kelly began to state she could be pregnant with Spencer’s child.”
Cody Webb, who has possession of his brother’s phone, says Kay continued to text the phone with updates on the gender of the baby. Webb said he asked her to remove the pregnancy announcement on her social media “until we can verify Spencer is indeed the father of her child,” but Kay declined.
Kay is mostly known for when she was arrested for rushing the field during Super Bowl LIV between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs in Miami. While being detained, Kay lifted her dress to moon the crowd. She was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
According to The Sacramento Bee, the Webb family wants a DNA test performed at a mutually agreed upon facility and stated they would pay for testing and travel expenses.
Kay lives in Tennessee. She did not immediately return a message from The Bee for comment.
