Spencer Rattler may be quiet about losing his starting job this season, but his social media activity is speaking volumes.
The quarterback of one of the country’s leading quarterback factories, one of the nation’s top recruits, was yanked from the lineup and replaced with a freshman QB who has been lighting up the field ever since.
Rattler entered the 2021 season as the preseason Heisman favorite and a potential No. 1 overall NFL draft pick, but now he sits on the bench watching Caleb Williams become a breakout star. Instead of being a good teammate, Rattler showed his true colors by running to the locker room instead of taking a team photo after the squad had a historic comeback against the Texas Longhorns.
On top of that, he decided to unfollow Williams on Instagram.
Rattler, winner of 14 straight games with a 15-2 career record, just recently made another change on Instagram when Bro Bible noticed he changed his bio from “Quarterback @ OU” to just “quarterback.”

This makes you believe he’ll be hitting the transfer portal fairly soon to give himself another shot at redeeming himself elsewhere. Given Rattler’s high profile as a household name, one would think that he should be in position to transfer and have a significant market for his services.
Rattler was a standout high school quarterback in the Phoenix area. He has thrown for 1,371 yards and ten touchdowns this season, but unless Williams starts playing badly or gets injured, he won’t get another shot with the Sooners.
