Eugene Hilton Jr., the son of former NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers.
Hilton is the first 247 Composite four-star wide receiver set to play for the program since 2017. He is reported to have chosen Wisconsin over offers from other top programs, including Georgia, Ole Miss, and Missouri.
The young wideout decided he wanted to be a Badger after an official visit to Madison, Wisconsin, earlier this month.
“I was already like really high on them. I think this really opened up my eyes a little bit more,” he told 247Sports. “What I knew already and thought about them already, it all kind of just helped me and see the place and the people, if I do potentially go there, see the people I would be around and all of that.”
Eugene Hilton Jr.’s commitment has seen the school’s recruiting class rise to No. 12 in the 247Sports Team Composite recruiting rankings.

Eugene Hilton Jr. Should Hope To Follow In His Father’s Footsteps
Should he take after his father, the Badgers will have quite a player on their hands.
T.Y. Hilton was a two-time first-team All-Sun Belt selection at FIU, where he played from 2008 to 2011. He was also the 2010 Sun Belt Player of the Year.
Having registered 3,531 yards and 24 receiving touchdowns in college, the senior Hilton was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
His impact was immediate, earning him a berth on the NFL All-Rookie Team. He was selected to four Pro Bowls from 2014-2017 and led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,448 in 2016.
T.Y. Hilton recorded at least 700 receiving yards in eight of his 10 years with the Colts, having snagged over 1,000 in four consecutive years. He ended his career with 9,812 yards and 52 touchdowns.
Eugene Hilton Jr. will hope to follow in his footsteps as it could only mean great things.
