A lot of times, we see the sons of former NFL and college football stars returning to the same program where their fathers played. The latest example is Skyler Jackson, the son of three-time Pro-Bowler Steven Jackson, who has committed to Oregon State, where his dad played for three years.
During his time at Oregon, Jackson accumulated 4,305 combined rushing and receiving yards and 45 touchdowns. Currently, he is fourth in team history with 3,625 rushing yards and third in rushing touchdowns at 39.
During his college career, Steven was named First-Team All-Pac-10 twice and Third-Team All-American twice. His amazing career at Oregon led him to be drafted by the St. Loius Rams with the twenty-fourth pick in the first round
Skyler now has the honor of carrying on his father’s prestigious legacy, which he left behind when his playing days at Oregon ended in 2003.
Skyler Jackson Is A Three Star Prospect
Coming out of high school, Skyler Jackson is a three-star running back prospect. Although Oregon State was the school he decided to commit to, it wasn’t the only one interested in him.

According to 247 Sports, he is the No. 152 athlete and No. 14 prospect in all of Nevada. Currently standing at 6’1″ and 205 pounds, he already has the size and weight of a typical NFL running back and still has a lot of time to develop his frame even more.
Jackson also considered offers from Washington State and Portland State but showed little interest in either.
However, it will remain to be seen if Skyler can perform well enough at the next level to live up to the hype his father has already created.
