There was plenty of interesting discussion points to come from Saturday night’s Fiesta Bowl thriller between Ohio State and Clemson. Many wanted to discuss the questionable targeting penalty on the Buckeyes’ Shaun Ward that essentially flipped the momentum in Clemson’s favor at the end of the second half.
But one small detail that suddenly seems to be gaining some traction on social media revolves around the interesting device spotted around the ankle of an Ohio State player.
In this photo posted on Reddit, it appears as though OSU running back Master Teague III was wearing some sort of ankle monitor on the field. Was someone trying to keep tabs on Mr. Teague’s location? Have a look:

Now, in all seriousness, it’s highly doubtful that the NCAA would allow a player to play in a CFP Bowl Game while they are under house arrest or any other sort of police supervision. So the likely story here (as some reddit users have pointed out) is that the object was in fact some sort of ankle wrap that had shifted out of place.
