The Texas Longhorns just hit an all-time low after being shut out completely, and this had nothing to do with a game being played.
This year’s Texas Longhorns roster was completely missing from the NFL Draft. Texas didn’t have a player drafted during the seven-round event for the first time since 2014. The closest they got was when former Longhorns running back Keaontay Ingram became a sixth-round selection by the Arizona Cardinals after playing the 2021 season with USC.
Last year, five Texas players were drafted. Since 2013, 24 total Longhorns have been drafted.
As of Saturday night, five Longhorns players had signed undrafted free agent deals, according to Texas Football’s Twitter account.
The Longhorns still hold the record for most total players drafted to the NFL in a single draft, but that means nothing after what just happened during the 2022 NFL Draft and social media made sure to roast them about it.
