ESPN’s Robert Griffin III has been full of Caleb Williams takes in recent times, and they probably aren’t as popular as he would have wished.
The former NFL quarterback has urged the incoming USC star to refuse to play in The Windy City based on the way they handled Justin Fields, leading to rife backlash. He has since taken to social media to defend Williams’ latest fashion choice.
Williams, who is expected to be drafted by the Chicago Bears at No. 1, was shown at a USC Women’s March Madness game earlier this week wearing pink lipstick and matching pink fingernails while holding a pink iPhone and pink wallet.
The former Heisman has come under lots of criticism on social media, but he has had prominent personalities speak up in his defense, RGIII included.
RGIII Tells Bears Fans To Rock Pink In Support Of Caleb Williams
The ESPN analyst has gone as far as suggesting that Bears fans should rock pink in support of their new signal-caller if he does end up there.
“Let Caleb Williams be Caleb Williams,” he wrote in a post on X. “Ain’t nothing wrong with him wearing pink fingernail polish and having a pink phone case. Quite frankly, if he goes to Chicago then Bears’ fans should be rocking whatever he is. Stop the hate and accept him for who he is.”

Fans have gone in on Griffin, with one suggesting he’s doing whatever it takes to keep his spot on ‘Monday Night Football’ following reports of ESPN wanting to replace him with Jason Kelce.

Bears GM Ryan Poles Calls Out RGIII
Bears general manager Ryan Poles has responded to RGIII’s advice to Caleb Williams.
The GM was a recent guest on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, where he admitted that the comments made him angry.
“It pisses me off a little bit, to be honest with you, because we were hired to break a cycle,” Poles said. “I really believe we’re about to break this cycle and get this city in a really good situation and win a lot of games.“
While Griffin might be one of the biggest Caleb Williams fans out there, he seems to be getting under lots of peoples’ skin with his takes.
