Boise State beach volleyball player Nora Hayd had no clue her unique look would take the Internet by storm, but that is exactly what’s happening.
The 6’1″ beach volleyball player from Bothell, Washington, has previously played for the DaKine Volleyball Club and was named to the 2020 and 2021 AVCA Phenom List, but her skill on the court is not what has her trending on social media.
Her picture from the team’s website has set the Internet on fire thanks to what’s been described as her “goth” look.
That tweet has surpassed 3,900 reposts, 6.9 million views, and achieved over 106,000 likes.
Absolutely nothing could’ve prepared the general public for the picture they saw of Nora Hayd, which showed her with dyed bright red hair, smokey-eyed makeup, and a prominent nose ring.

According to Broncosports.com, among her accomplishments are placing third at the Season U16 Open, second at the Seaside Quads, and leading her team to a second-place finish at USAV Nationals.
Despite the increased attention, Nora Hayd does not appear to be a fan, which is why she keeps her personal Instagram account private. She has around 1,600 followers.
According to her Instagram bio, she appears to be engaged to a girl named Allie since her name is next to a ring emoji.
The women’s beach volleyball team for Boise State will be in action on October 12 against Washington.
They are looking to be much better in 2024, as they went 14-15 last year.
