Former Texas special teams quality control coach Casey Horny became a trending topic this week as he was announced as the next special teams coach with the Florida International Panthers.
Horny will be joining the FIU coaching staff under former North Carolina Tar Heels and Miami Hurricanes head coach Butch Davis.
His last name is what got people all riled up, and it would soon lead to a bunch of jokes on social media.

Before joining the Texas coaching/support staff four years back, Horny was an assistant director of football operations under former head coaches Jim Grobe and Art Briles with the Baylor Bears.
While everybody had fun with his name, things would come to a screeching halt after his past came back up of what he did during his time with the Bears.
“Casey Horny spent nine years under Art Briles at Baylor as the assistant director of football operations. After Briles lost his job in the wake of the sexual assault scandal, Horny continued to be a vocal supporter of Briles.”
