Snoop Dogg is taking over sponsorship of a college bowl game in what has to be one of the coolest partnerships ever.
The ‘Arizona Bowl’ will have a new name next season. Moving forward, it will be called the ‘Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop.’
According to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, the rapper and his Gin & Juice cocktail brand will be the game’s presenting sponsor in 2024. The bowl was previously sponsored by Barstool Sports.
This bowl game will be the first of its kind, as no others have partnered with an alcohol brand.
“I’ve sent many players through my Snoop Youth Football League to colleges and the NFL so it’s only fitting that I bring the ‘juice’ back to college football,” Snoop said. “With Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, we’re going to make the Arizona Bowl into a game day experience like never before.”

Snoop Dogg Is Expected To Perform At The Bow Game
The bowl’s director, Kym Adair, noted that they’re not afraid to take risks and do the unconventional, adding that it’s time for the industry to welcome change.
“We are a little different from all the other bowls. We’re not afraid to take risks and do things outside of the box,” Adair said “An alcohol brand has always been off the table for us until recently. Everybody in the stadium is drinking a beer or cocktail. It’s time for the industry to evolve.”
The game is scheduled for 12:30 PM ET on December 28, 2024. Snoop Dogg is expected to perform at some point and will be involved in the broadcast in some capacity.
With the College Football Playoff expanding to 12 teams in 2024, while it’s also tipped to accommodate 16 teams in future, bowl games aren’t as important as they used to be. NFL prospects have been opting out of the smaller bowl games to avoid injury for several years now, and last season was pretty bad in such regard.
It’s now up to the sponsors to make the games attractive again, but the NCAA could soon implement rules that would prevent players from skipping them.
