Kansas wanted to bring the new basketball season in with a bang.
On Friday, Snoop Dogg was the headliner for the 35th annual Late Night in the Phog at Allen Fieldhouse and he did not disappoint.
“I think there were probably some dollar figures thrown at him to get him to show up. I don’t think he’s coming for free,” Self joked in an interview with 610 Sports Radio earlier this week. “No, we’re excited about him. It should be fun. I must admit I did not grow up on Snoop like maybe some others have, but … I’m excited to see what he’s got when he comes over here on Friday.”
There were certainly some dollar figures thrown on this night as Snoop came out to the court that had stripper poles with actual strippers dancing on them as well as a money gun to shoot off into the crowd.

The money gun was a huge surprise as it raised several eyebrows since Kansas is currently the subject of NCAA violations that include impermissible payments paid to players.
