The SMU Mustangs completely forgot how kickoffs work.
With 13:54 left in the 2nd quarter, Tulsa QB Zach Smith tossed a 58-yard touchdown to a wide open Keylon Stokes that nabbed them the lead at 10-6, but they had no clue they would be scoring another TD in a few short seconds.
After kicking the ball off to SMU — the returners botched the kick and allowed it to roll all the way into the end zone and a Tulsa player recovered it and scored a TD.
That was Tulsa’s 2nd TD in 9 seconds.
