While Shannon Sharpe and his new debate partner Stephen A. Smith could only talk about Coach Prime following the former NFL star’s exploits on the weekend, Skip Bayless and Michael Irvin spoke to the man himself.
Deion Sanders was a guest on ‘Undisputed’ this Monday, having led his new Buffaloes team to an unlikely win over TCU on Saturday. Ordinarily, there’d be nothing to dig for here, but Monday also marked the day Shannon made his debut on ESPN’s ‘First Take’.
It’s no secret that Sanders and Sharpe are very close. However, the Colorado HC is also good friends with Irvin, who was the one who set up the appearance, though it was not an in-person outing for Deion.
The erstwhile pro cornerback would discuss his big win with Skip and “The Playmaker,” talking them through his insane preparation and team mentality ahead of their home opener against Nebraska this coming Saturday.
As for Sharpe, the Hall of Famer is now with ESPN after leaving ‘Undisputed’ earlier this year. He recently hosted Stephen A. on his ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast and touched on his experience with Bayless, claiming he would not let six months tarnish his perception of someone he worked with for seven years.
