A surprising number of quarterbacks are expected to hit the transfer portal soon. And things are about to get crazy where college football is concerned if Daniel Jeremiah is to be believed.
With the portal set to open up soon, we could see a lot of surprising moves which should make for really exciting times.
“I think we’re in for a wild QB carousel ride in the transfer portal,” Jeremiah, a writer for the NFL Network, posted to X.
Both of Texas’ backup quarterbacks have been linked with moves away this season. Arch Manning was the subject of transfer rumors for a few weeks as he wasn’t getting a look in. The highly-rated QB made his debut for the Longhorns a few days ago, and now folks reckon Maalik Murphy will be the one who leaves.
Meanwhile, multiple top programs, including Oregon, USC, Nebraska, Washington, and Ohio State are expected to be in the market for quarterbacks in the offseason.
For now, fans are looking forward to the next round of games as the regular season is done and the NCAA’s headed into conference championship week. The slate will throw up some really good matchups, with Alabama vs. Georgia and Michigan vs. Iowa to headline the affairs.
