The good feeling the Colorado Buffaloes once had is now over as the team has done more losing than winning since starting the year 3-0.
Following another tough loss for Colorado on Saturday night, Deion Sanders’s squad fell below .500, sitting at 4-5 on the year. The 26-19 result against Oregon State brought criticism as play-calling duties were taken from Sean Lewis and handed to offensive quality control coach Pat Shurmur.
The Buffaloes averaged 32.1 points per game prior to Saturday night.
After the game, quarterback Shedeur Sanders was asked if the decision were up to him, who he’d prefer to have as the play-caller.
Sanders hated everything about that question so he opted to avoid it while providing a pointed response to the reporter.
“I mean at that point, you’re just asking me a setup question. You just want just a headline question — I’m not even gonna answer that honestly, I can’t even answer that,” Sanders said, per FOX College Football.

Sanders came into the game as the nation’s second-leading passer with a 337-yard average, however, he was limited to 41 yards before halftime and finished with 245 after two late touchdown drives.
With their fifth loss in six games, the Buffs fell under .500 for the first time all season and things are not looking good for them trying to be bowl-eligible.
