University of Colorado teammates Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter really balled out in their Buffaloes debut on Saturday.
The youngsters were expected to make some big plays on the day, yet the resulting win was totally unexpected. Their opponents, TCU, were 21-point favorites; however, were just as shocked to come out on the losing end of a 45-42 spectacle.
With both players starring in the game, their Heisman odds have moved significantly. Sanders entered the fixture with 150-1 odds while Hunter was 100-1 for college football’s most prestigious personal accolade ahead of the clash.
These odds have since shortened, with both players now 40-1 while Colorado’s championship odds have also gone from +20000 to +10000.
Of course, all the Heisman talk is a bit premature. But, if the Colorado stars keep this up, they’ll undoubtedly be in the conversation for the honor.
Sanders passed for an incredible 510 yards and four touchdowns while Hunter played at both wide receiver and cornerback as he snatched 11 passes out of the air for 119 yards and made an interception on defense, playing 110 snaps in total.
