Colorado Buffaloes’ star quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way standout Travis Hunter recently had a friendly and playful little scuffle at the team’s football facility.
Hunter has been out for almost a month now with a lacerated liver that he suffered following a big hit while out of bounds from Colorado State Rams’ safety Henry Blackburn on Sept. 16. It was initially reported that Hunter would be out for 3-4 weeks.
Hunter has missed Colorado’s last three games, but there’s hope that he’ll return this Friday against the Stanford Cardinal.
Well Off Media posted a heartwarming video of Hunter meeting with Sanders at the team facility. The two shared an embrace before engaging in an awkward albeit playful scuffle that culminated in Sanders gently pushing Hunter into a table (clip begins at 5:47 mark of the video):
Hunter and Sanders propelled the Buffaloes to a surprising 3-0 start, headlined by an upset of the TCU Horned Frogs in the season opener. Colorado followed that up with victories over the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Rams, only to drop their next two contests to Oregon and USC.
Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes bounced back with a close 27-24 road win over Arizona State on Saturday evening to improve to 4-2 on the year. After hosting Stanford, the Buffaloes will travel to UCLA for a road contest against the No. 18 ranked Bruins.
