A Shedeur Sanders trading card has been priced at a surprising sum following the quarterback’s hot start to the college football season.
The Colorado Buffaloes, coached by Shedeur’s father Deion Sanders, are the talk of the NCAA after having improved markedly at the start of Coach Prime’s first season in charge. Their QB is one of the biggest reasons the Buffs are now 4-2 in six games after going 1-11 last term and they’re drawing ever closer to bowl eligibility after their 3-0 start.
Shedeur has the most passing yards to his name of any college QB with 2020 so far, while having thrown for 16 touchdowns.
This week, a trading card bearing his image was listed on eBay for a whopping $899.
“The first Shedeur Sanders Bowman Chrome University numbered parallel was just listed on eBay,” collectibles reporter Eric Whiteback noted. “It’s a Gold Shimmer /50, and it has an asking price of $899 or best offer.”

Fans aren’t so sure it should be worth that much.
“The Photoshop on this card is a fireable offense, one X user wrote. “Look at the ball. Then look at the jersey. In what world can these two things exist simultaneously? Then look at the helmet and ask yourself if this card should ever have been approved?”
