Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has now made history after signing an NIL deal with Nike. It’s the first deal Nike has made with a college football player since NIL agreements became legal.
His father, Deion, already has a line with Nike, and Shedeur plans to continue the legacy Deion started with the brand.
“I would want to build on it. I want to build on it,” Shedeur said on his “2Lenedary” podcast. “Have like a different version. But I think concept, because I feel like now, like just looking at life and looking at everything, it’s more about generational. It’s more about what could be passed down year after year after year after year, rather than everybody starting to think they’re whole new wave and whole new because there’s no real substance behind it.“
“Everything that’s great has to have a story behind it. Every great player has a story about,”He continued. “So, I feel like when it comes to design or anything like that, it has to have a great design behind it.”
This likely means that he will be getting his own custom cleat, which could be revealed any week now that the college football regular season has started. If that is the case, then it is one of the most groundbreaking deals to happen for NIL agreements.

Shedeur Sanders Is Looking To Chase Down Heisman Trophy
Last year, Shedeur really surprised many college football fans, showing that not all the hype around him is just because of his dad but rather his skill on the field.
Last year, he accumulated 3,153 total yards, 31 touchdowns, and three interceptions. That kept him far from any Heisman votes, but with his ability to run and pass the ball at a pretty high level, he has a real shot at being in the conversation in 2024.
