The Way-too-early Heisman odds have been released, and Shedeur Sanders is in a shocking position.
The Colorado quarterback was almost synonymous with the Heisman after his debut game for the Buffaloes in 2023 and is thought to be a nailed-on cert for the first round in 2025 but, with Vegas having published odds ahead of the National Championship game, he’s way off the top.
Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, and Georgia’s Carson Beck lead all chasers, with the Longhorns and Crimson Tide QBs leading their schools to the playoffs this season, though they have both been booted as the final is now set.
As for Beck, he fired the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record this term, which ended with a blowout 63-3 win over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
All three of the aforementioned players are +750 to win the award while Shedeur is a wide 70/1.

This hardly means that the Buffs star isn’t one of the best QBs in college. Sanders passed for 3,200 yards, 27 touchdowns, and just three interceptions in his first year in the Power Five. However, he was an easy target for defenses given CU’s weak offensive line.
His father, Deion Sanders, is putting in the work to rectify that in 2024. So he could be way closer to the top by the time the season reaches its midway point.
