There is clearly no love lost between Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes and the Colorado State Rams.
Sanders and Rams’ head coach Jay Norvell engaged in several trash talk leading up to Saturday’s game at Folsom Field. Let’s just say that it certainly didn’t take long for tension between the two teams to carry over onto the field, either.
Deion’s son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, got into a testy exchange with Colorado State defensive lineman Mo Kamara. An agitated Sanders proceeded to poke Kamara in the eye, and his teammates were able to step in and prevent things from escalating any further.
After three years at Jackson State, “Prime Time” agreed to a lucrative contract to take over as the new head coach of the Buffaloes. They started off the season with a stunning 45-42 road win over the TCU Horned Frogs, which was followed up by a victory over the rival Nebraska Cornhuskers.
