So much for Shedeur Sanders’ Heisman hopes.
The Colorado quarterback was being mentioned in Heisman Trophy discussions with the likes of Caleb Williams and Michael Penix Jr., following the Buffaloes’ surprise 3-0 start to the season. But that all change in game 4, when the Oregon Ducks defense made Shedeur look human again.
After averaging over 400 yards and notching 10 passing touchdowns in Colorado’s first three games, Shedeur Sanders was held to just 159 passing yards and one garbage time touchdown against he Ducks on Saturday.
Worst of all, he was taken down for a whopping seven sacks.
It was a forgettable performance that seems to have Heisman odds makers forgetting about Shedeur almost entirely, as he went from +1800 before today’s game, to +6000 following Colorado’s 42-6 loss.
There’s always the chance that Shedeur turns things around next week against USC, and leads his Buffaloes on another run to help put himself right back in the Heisman Trophy race.

If that sounds like a narrative you can get behind, now’s probably the time to hop all over Sanders’ 60-1 odds.
