Deion Sanders said it was personal, and his son, Shedeur, certainly took that to hart last night when the Colorado Buffaloes took on the Colorado State Rams.
After a week of trash talk, the two teams finally took to the field, but not before exchanging pleasantries at midfield during pregame warm-ups.
Once the game started, the Buffaloes and Rams players did not disappoint, as those who stayed up to watch this epic battle say Colorado come from behind to pull off the 43-35 victory in double overtime.
And once it was all said and done, everyone was waiting to see what would transpire during the handshake between head coaches Deion Sanders and Jay Norvell…

During their meeting at midfield, Shedeur could be seen by his father’s side, staring down the Colorado State head coach the entire time. And at one point, he even flexes his watch at Norvell, before eventually being pulled back by Coach Prime.

The Rams gave Shedeur and Deion’s Buffaloes quite the scare, as they held a two-score lead in the fourth quarter despite being 23.5-point underdogs.
With the win, Colorado moves to 3-0 on the season ahead of their big-time battle with the no. 13-ranked Oregon Ducks. It’ll be interesting to see if their underwhelming victory against a lowly Rams club causes the Buffs to drop from their current no. 18 ranking in the AP polls.
