Although Shedeur Sanders put u gaudy numbers during his time at Jackson State, it still felt like the country was sleeping on his abilities as a quarterback.
It took one game at Colorado for everybody to wake up.
Shedeur Sanders was one of the biggest stars in college football in Week 1, connecting on 38-of-47 passes for 510 yards and four touchdowns in Colorado’s 45-42 win over TCU.
Because of his stellar play, he has reportedly propelled himself into “potential” first-round talks, according to several NFL scouts.
Some NFL scouts reportedly believe Sanders showed that he “possesses some of the traits” you find in a Top-10 pick.
Sanders had a Power 5 debut for the ages, throwing for over 500 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in the massive upset win on the road so it’s not hard to see why NFL scouts would be drooling over him.

The Jackson State transfer became the first CU quarterback to throw for over 500 yards. He’s also the third Pac-12 passer to accomplish the same feat.
Sanders’ draft prospectus wasn’t cemented by one season-opening performance as he will have to prove he can have this type of performance as the lights will continue to get brighter this year.
