Shedeur Sanders has made a pretty bold claim about his playing style as he has compared it to that of two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
The Colorado QB has helped turn the Buffaloes program around while playing for his father, Deion Sanders, as the Buffs have won three more games than they did last season with three more to go and bowl eligibility still a possibility.
On a personal front, Shedeur has thrown for 2,882 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just three interceptions in nine games.
It appears he will be back for a second year with Colorado as Sanders has implied that none of his sons will be entering the 2024 draft. Still, the NFL is the end goal and the QB reckons it’s where he will really get to show how good he is.
Speaking about his playing style, Shedeur claimed it’s a mixture of Tom Brady and Michael Vick.
“I’ll say it’s a mixture,” he told Complex in a recent interview. “Because I’m able to stay in the pocket and deliver the ball. I can play like Brady, but I’m also able to extend plays and if it’s not there, take it like Vick.”

He explained that he picks the persona based on what the defense looks like every game.
“So it just depends,” he added. “It’s funny whenever situations in the game occur, they’re like ‘Hey, you gotta be Vick tonight. … So then that’s when we bring our legs involved.
“So that’s why I feel like I’m special in what I bring to the table. I wanna stay in the pocket, I wanna throw it like Tom, but sometimes those opportunities ain’t there.”
Shedeur is projected to be a first-round pick at the moment given what he’s shown so far. It’s actually scary to think of what he could do with decent protection from the offensive line, but he’s given himself a tall task based on these comparisons.
