You know you’re succeeding when fans are going crazy over a highlight reel play that unfortunately didn’t count. Such is life for Colorado Buffaloes’ quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
In the fourth quarter of Saturday’s highly-anticipated home opener against Nebraska, Shedeur put on a Patrick Mahomes-like performance on a two-point conversion attempt. His two-point conversion attempt to Tar’Varish Dawson fell incomplete, but the fact Sanders even got a throw away was impressive enough:
The two-point conversion miss didn’t matter whatsoever. The Buffaloes crushed their longtime rivals 36-14 to move to 2-0 on the year. Shedeur had another near-perfect performance, completing 31 pass attempts for 393 yards and two touchdowns.

Needless to say, the vibes couldn’t be much better in Boulder right now. Even with Deion Sanders’ arrival, expectations were awfully low for the Buffaloes this year.
It sure didn’t take long for “Prime Time” and his son to put Colorado back on the NCAA map. They’ll try to make it 3-0 when they host the Colorado State Rams next Saturday evening.
