Well, Shedeur Sanders certainly isn’t going to forget his first interception as a member of the Colorado Buffaloes.
Not that it’s a memory that Sanders will want to remember. But how will he be able to forget it after being absolutely crushed during a throw that went into the waiting arms of Colorado State Rams’ defensive back Henry Blackburn?
Check out the double-whammy of a play here:
Not that Sanders should be blamed for bad decision-making here or anything. He was simply taking a deep shot on 3rd-and-11, and in those situations, it simply doesn’t hurt to see if your receiver will make a play or even draw a pass interference call.
Entering Saturday night’s game, Shedeur had a tremendous 77.5 completion percentage for 903 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions. In the season opener against the TCU Horned Frogs (a 45-42 Colorado win), Sanders tossed a school record 510 yards.
