Kyron Drones rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown and also threw for two TDs. He did, however, fumble three times in the wet weather, but the Hokies only lost one of them.
The sophomore quarterback passed for just 91 yards.
Tulane had Kai Horton and Justin Ibieta playing at the quarterback position as they were without star quarterback Michael Pratt.
