On Saturday, the LSU Tigers had one of the most dominant performances over Oklahoma, but it would be marred in tragedy and controversy after the tragic news of the passing of LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger’s daughter-in-law Carley McCord, who died just hours before kickoff in a plane crash in Louisiana.
After the game, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was in the midst of being interviewed when SEC Network host Dari Nowkah actually broke the news to him live on TV.
Nowkhah and the network were blasted for their actions.
On Sunday, Nowkhah took to Twitter and dropped a series of tweets to apologize to Burrow and everyone involved in the tragedy.

Despite the tragedy and grief, Ensminger went on to call plays for the LSU offense, as the Tigers compiled 692 total yards in a 63-28 win over Oklahoma to earn a spot in the national title.
