A certain school has been named as a likely destination for Chubba Purdy following the quarterback’s decision to throw his name into the transfer portal.
Chubba, who is the younger brother of NFL star and MVP favorite Brock Purdy, has opted to enter the portal following a National Signing Day during which Nebraska picked up two quarterbacks in Dylan Raiola and Daniel Kaelin.
The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons in Nebraska, making 12 appearances and four starts. He can transfer without getting penalized as he has already graduated, having previously transferred from Arizona.
According to HuskerOnline’s Sean Callahan, the player could end up at Boise State.
“QB Chubba Purdy tells me he plans to enter the transfer portal,” Callahan shared to X. “I’m told by another source Boise State is a possible landing spot for Purdy.”
The decision may have come as a surprise to head coach Matt Rhule as he claimed he expected Purdy to compete for the starting job ahead of next season.
