Dillon Gabriel made headlines during their interview for one peculiar reason, with folks accusing the Oregon star of being “high” while he spoke to Greene. When she posted the video on X/Twitter, Greene made a joke about Gabriel being a “morning person.”

In a follow-up post, Brenna Greene clarified that Dillon Gabriel wasn’t at all high during their interview. She came to the defense of Gabriel, noting that he was probably exhausted since media day began early at 8:00 a.m., and that he was highly sought among reporters.

After two seasons at Oklahoma, Dillon Gabriel transferred to Oregon and enjoyed a phenomenal season that saw him finish third in Heisman Trophy winning. Gabriel completed 73.2 percent of pass attempts for 3,558 yards, 28 touchdowns and only six interceptions to go along with seven rushing scores.

The Ducks were the top-ranked team in the country heading into their Rose Bowl and College Football Playoff quarterfinal showdown with No. 6 ranked Ohio State. But the dream ending wasn’t to be, as the Buckeyes crushed Oregon 41-21 to reach the semifinals.
It was a sour end to what was one of the best regular seasons in the history of the Oregon football program. Gabriel hasn’t announced his decision yet, but it’s anticipated that he’ll declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
As for Will Howard and the Buckeyes, they’ll square off against Quinn Ewers’ Texas Longhorns in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
