Arch Manning is still a freshman at the University of Texas. Still, it’s never too soon to think about where he will be taken when he enters the NFL Draft, especially since he is considered a generational talent.
However, new information has come out that could severely affect when it is decided to become available for the draft.
New reports have indicated that scouts and agents are telling Manning that they should wait to enter the draft until he has started for “at least” two seasons in college.
This would hopefully lead to better development by the time they hit the pros and can perform at a high level, even in their rookie year.
Of course, this could help Manning fall into the same hole many other young quarterbacks have been victims of.

In just a few years, former top quarterback picks like Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, and Justin Field have been tossed aside for bad performances in their first few seasons.
Of course, Manning could be eligible to join the draft in 2026 but would have just one season as the starter for the Longhorns under his belt, and if he takes this advice, a QB-needy team in 2027 could strike gold.
Arch Manning Played Well For Texas When They Needed Him
When Quinn Ewers went down for Texas, it would have been easy for the team to fall right out of College Football Playoff contention, but Manning kept them afloat.
He played for a significant amount of time against Mississippi State, ULM, and UTSA.
Through those three games, he completed 50 of 72 passes for 806 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions.
With Ewers set to leave for the NFL after this year, it’s safe to say that the Longhorns are in good hands moving forward.
