LSU athletics is just not receiving the best of news this week.
After the Tigers chose to part ways with head basketball coach Will Wade amid a slew of allegations involving “significant misconduct,” more insane details are coming out that also include former player and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr and what he did a few years ago.
Per Ross Dellenger, “The football portion of NCAA’s investigation into LSU was in the final stages of completion.. and then this happened: Odell Beckham handed out about $2,000 worth of Benjamins on the Superdome field after the team won the national title.”
The “NCAA reopened the football investigation.”
This was a huge story when it happened as OBJ could be seen on the field handing out cash to Tigers players at the conclusion of their magical 15-0 season. Odell was also blasted for smacking the ass of an officer in the LSU locker room. There was originally an arrest warrant, but that was withdrawn.
Because of Odell’s actions, the program could find itself in even more hot water. The NCAA slammed LSU with the “lack of institutional control” tag for its transgressions over the past half decade.
