Utah quarterback Cam Rising is already getting set to return for a seventh college season after recovery from a knee injury that cost him all of the 2023 season.
Just when you thought this would be his final year, it appears we will be seeing Rising for another year after the 2024 season has concluded.
Utah quarterback Cam Rising, who has been in college since 2018, has the opportunity to earn one more year of eligibility after the NCAA settled its antitrust lawsuit. The NCAA gave players who sat out a season in 2019 or later the chance to come back next season.
Cam Rising has only played three college seasons despite being in his seventh year.
In 2021 and 2022, Rising guided the Utes to back-to-back Pac-12 championships, but in January, he sustained a severe knee injury in the Rose Bowl, via Utahutes.com. Utah had hoped that Rising would be able to play again in 2023, but he was ultimately declared out for the season in late October.
