DJ Burns is the darling of the men’s 2024 NCAA tournament as his fan base as well as his stock continues to grow. While many think he will be a surefire first-round draft pick in the NBA, there are reports that think he could excel in the National Football League.
March Madness has a way of elevating underdog stories, people whose names are forever remembered and mentioned at random at sports bars and hangouts.
DJ Burns Jr. of NC State is already beginning to leave that kind of legacy.
Peter Schrager of Fox Sports is further adding to DJ Burns legacy when he spoke to multiple NFL scouts and general managers about the big man and revealed that he could actually have a nice turnout if he decided to participate in a Pro Day workout the week after the Final Four.

Jim Nagy further added that he received text messages from a general manager and an assistant GM about their being real interest in DJ Burns making a jump to another sport.
DJ Burns is listed at 6’9″ and 275 pounds, which would make him one of the tallest players in NFL history. Despite his height, he would still need to bulk up to over 300 pounds to measure up to how massive other linemen are in the league right now.
DJ Burns Has Already Made History With The NC State Wolfpack
The North Carolina State Wolfpack are headed to the Final Four after defeating the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday night.
Senior forward DJ Burns led the way for NC State scoring a team-high 29 points on 13-of-19 shooting along with three assists and four rebounds.
This marks the first time that NC State has made the Final Four since their miracle title run under Jim Valvano in 1983.
