Highly rated quarterback recruit Deuce Knight has flipped his commitment from one college program to another in a shocking move.
Knight, the No. 5 QB and No. 29 overall in the 2025 recruiting class, announced his intention to play for Notre Dame last September. However, he has made a U-turn after spending a year committed to the Fighting Irish.
The signal-caller announced having flipped his commitment from Notre Dame to Auburn via social media on Wednesday night.
“I’m here now Auburn family,” he was quoted as saying in a post from ON3’s Hayes Fawcett.
“I’m coming after Naeem Offord, Andrew Babaloa, Caleb Cunningham, Ousmane Kromah, & CJ Wiley. I’m not stopping until they slide to AU! Ain’t no more Freeze Warning, it’s Freezing on the Plains now.”

Deuce Knight, who hails from Lucedale, Mississippi, had offers from some of the most attractive programs around the country, including Alabama, Georgia, and Colorado.
247 Sports describes the 6ft-4in, 206-LB QB as “A left-handed, dual-threat talent with an elite physical profile that needs plenty of seasoning if he’s going to reach his full potential.”
The outlet adds that the player “posted Grade-A testing numbers with a laser-timed 4.53 in the 40-yard dash to go along with a 41.9-inch vertical jump and a 4.39 in the short shuttle.”
