Henry Ervil Swinney III, brother of Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney, was arrested in April for allegedly distributing child sexual abuse material.
According to a warrant, Swinney disseminated “material containing a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity and/or appearing in a state of sexually explicit nudity, via a file sharing link referred to as ‘Mega.’”
WCIV News 4 in Charleston says Swinney was arrested on April 23 and charged with one count of 2nd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest was made after a tip was made from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children prompted.
Investigations also led to the arrests of 22-year-old Carson Alexander Radlei and Gordon Helton Jr.
The 53-year-old was released on a $5,000 bond.
If convicted, Swinney could face up to ten years in prison.
