Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh may be on the radar of a struggling AFC team that will need to hire a new HC in the coming weeks.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Los Angeles Chargers “have interest in” Harbaugh. Schultz added that it’s unknown, however, if Harbaugh shares the interest.
The Chargers fired head coach Brandon Staley after a 63-21 loss to the archrival Las Vegas Raiders on “Thursday Night Football” last week. General manager Tom Telesco was also relieved from his duties.
Harbaugh coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014 before leaving the NFL to take the Wolverines’ head coaching job in 2015. The Wolverines will meet No. 4 ranked Alabama in the College Football Playoff on New Year’s Day.
