It looks like Carson Wentz is about to get his wish.
After he reportedly demanded a trade from the team when they chose to bench him and go with Jalen Hurts in the late stages of the 2020 season, it appears the former franchise QB is on his way out.
On Friday, Philadelphia Eagles insider Les Bowen dropped major news from his source that told him a Carson Wentz trade is ‘close.’
“I’ve talked to an NFL source, not w/the Eagles, who hears a Wentz trade is close. That isn’t first-hand information. I do feel that the longer we go without Wentz saying something like “I’m happy to be an Eagle and excited about playing for Nick Sirianni,” the closer we get…”
Wentz passed for 2,620 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, but also recorded 15 interceptions and was sacked 50 times.
