Two University of Tulsa football players are currently in the process of being quarantined just as a precaution as they may have been exposed to COVID-19, according to Tulsa World.
“A relative of one of the players is the second case in Tulsa County, a woman in her 20s who recently returned from Italy. While the player has not been in direct contact with the relative, he possibly has been around other family members who have been around her.
The player’s roommate, also a football player, is the other person being quarantined.”
The University of Tulsa has already suspended athletic events for the upcoming week and have already started disinfecting athletic facilities.
On Wednesday alone, we have already seen the NBA, NCAA and XFL announce that some or all games will be played with no fans in attendance.
Italian soccer star Daniele Rugani is the first known major athlete to have been tested positive for coronavirus.
